Susan Adams graduated from the University of Toronto in 1991 with a Combined Specialist in English and Philosophy, and a minor in Political Science. She then went on to graduate from Osgoode Law School in 1997.

Ms. Adams was originally employed by the criminal law firm of Robbins, Bernstein and Associates. She continued to practice at the firm until June 2002, when she became a founding partner at Steinberg Adams LLP. In January 2005, Ms. Adams took her experience and expertise and partnered with Lydia Riva to create the law firm, Adams Riva LLP. In 2009, Susan Adams founded the boutique criminal law firm Adams & Company. Her experience includes the following:

  • Criminal Trials at all court levels in Ontario
  • Litigation of 100s of criminal trials in the Ontario Court of Justice ranging from thefts and assaults to weapons and narcotics charges
  • Appearances in excess of 20 criminal jury trials, many of which have been major criminal trials, such as homicide, importing narcotics, armed robbery, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death and sexual assaults
  • Lengthy and valuable experience in major drug prosecutions, with a special emphasis on challenging search warrants and warrants involving the interception of private communications

Gina Nardella

Gina Nardella graduated from York University with a Bachelors in Political Science in 2003, after which she attended Osgoode Hall Law School. Ms. Nardella obtained her law degree in 2006 with a certificate in Litigation, Dispute Resolution and the Administration of Justice. During her years in law school, she worked at and volunteered with the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme in the areas of criminal and education law. Ms. Nardella was called to the Ontario bar in 2007 and since then, has practiced both civil and criminal law.

Ms. Nardella has a keen interest in justice issues, particularly in the areas of access to justice and wrongful convictions. She is driven by a desire to provide effective and meaningful assistance to clients in all aspects of the criminal justice system.
